1 start plus 7 laps, 1.50h racing time
8th place, 5.16min off winner Jaro Kulhavy (who else?)
After the start I got caught off into the barriers, but when you are not quick enough off the gun like me it is your problem getting into those troubles! I always lose a few places even with a perfect start.
I moved up well after one lap and quickly I was in top ten. The rain who tuned in mid race made a already very difficult course super technical. It took me a good lap to get used to it, plus also accepting it in my head.
The crowed was incredible and I must say that really helped on the only but very steep climb. It was like a invisible hand pushing you up there. I hope all the spectators had a good time!
Jaro rode a incredible race! Our Specialized Terminator was simply unbeatable this year. We had such a amazing season. We won both World Champ titles, World Cup overall, Cape-Epic, Euros, and Leadville. This is not only a thanks to riders legs, I also think we have the very best support and equipment out there!
