8laps, 2.20hrs
21. place, 12min off winner Ralph Näf

It is getting close to midnight, I am sitting in the train towards Bern and I am tired. My eyes are burning from the free mud bath in Holland. I could have retired from that, for sure, or even the whole travel up there. At the moment I am just not a 100%, although I should be given the training and racing behind me. It’s just not fun racing like this, especially when you have to travel far to a race and you come back with only dirty clothes and the bike.

I was riding or running almost the whole race around 20th position, but lost a whole world of time to the front. The race was also super demanding. It felt like I had to move a tank, that's how heavy my bike felt with all the sticky mud on it. It was the same for everybody, or when you race faster does the mud splash off the bike? Next to that mud, I did not have any niggles or pain during the whole race, I was just not fast enough!

Might be good to take a super easy week before traveling to Canada for the upcoming two world cups.

My number plate is on the skinsuit and 2hrs to go to the start!
It is still raining, and I have my sauserwind 1.8 tires mounted on my wheels. The best compromise setup in case the rain stops here.
The soil is more sandy with a little bit of mud on top, so it dries out quite quick, and I hope we do not have to run too much.

I might should have raced the marathon swiss champs this weekend. Have just checked out the webcam from the race site, and it is beautiful sunny...
