At Madrid we raced in the city park "Caso del Campo" where a lots of different business is going on, like "selling love"!
But we were here for racing only, and the very short hills of the race course are already exhausting enough!
The morning sun turned the course terrain -from Saturday's rain- into a very fast hard packed soil.
I had a really good start and was always up front in the leaders group the whole race long. But due to Meirhaeghes attack, and my team mate Roel Paulissens tempo forcing, I could not hold on and had to concentrate for top five.
Coming into last lap our group got pretty small, and split up totally coming to the finish.
I hope I am still picking up some good race speed, for the next two World Cups in Belgium and Scotland. I like these two race places a lot!
