I was really looking forward to this race because my riding break was just perfect after the US races and I am starting to feeling competitive.
Buchs is a good race place as well with lots of spectators and big time climbing every lap. One time up, one time down...
I had a really good start and I felt good until my fork lockout battery went dead after half a lap. My fault and so I ended up riding the entire race in the saddle. I should have known better and it will not happen any more. Oh well, sometimes Formula 1 Teams run out of gas on the last lap!
Cédric Ravanel took over the lead and my team mate Roel Paulissen and myself rode all race long together for second. At the last lap I had a little bit more power left and I was happy to get into second on my home turf.
